喊船是江西吉安赣江沿岸村落独有的春节民俗，主要流传于吉安、吉水、泰和等地的乡村，区别于大众熟知的舞龙舞狮、逛庙会等年俗，它是兼具水神祭祀与驱邪纳福功能的集体性仪式，至今已有近千年的传承历史。每年农历正月上中旬，各村都会组建专属的船队，以竹篾扎制造型各异的彩船，由青壮年村民抬着沿村巡游，沿途齐声喊唱古朴的祈福调，以此恭请赣江水神庇佑、驱送村中瘟邪，祈求新年江河安澜、五谷丰登、合村平安。
Boat-calling is a unique Spring Festival folk custom in villages along the Ganjiang River in Ji’an, Jiangxi, mainly prevalent in rural areas of Ji’an, Jishui and Taihe. Different from well-known New Year customs such as dragon and lion dances and temple fairs, it is a collective ritual with both river god worship and evil-exorcising blessing functions, with a history of nearly a thousand years. In the first half of the first lunar month, each village forms its own boat team, weaves colorful boats of various shapes with bamboo strips, and young villagers carry them to parade around the village, singing simple blessing chants in unison along the way. This is to invite the blessing of the Ganjiang River God, expel plague and evil spirits in the village, and pray for river safety, abundant harvests and village peace in the new year.
喊船仪式的核心在于 “喊”，唱腔粗犷高亢，由一名经验丰富的船工领唱，众人齐声附和，歌词多为地方方言的祈福祝语，没有固定文本，多为代代口传。巡游队伍每到一户人家门前，主人家都会燃放鞭炮接应，向船中施舍米粮与香火。仪式的最后，村民会将彩船抬至赣江边焚烧，寓意送瘟神随江水远去。这项习俗仅在吉安周边的传统村落完整传承，外界鲜有记载与报道，是赣鄱民俗中极为小众的活态文化遗存。
The core of the boat-calling ritual lies in “calling”, with a bold and resounding singing style. It is led by an experienced boatman and echoed by the crowd. The lyrics are mostly blessing words in local dialect, with no fixed text and mostly passed down orally from generation to generation. When the parade arrives at each household, the host will set off firecrackers to greet them and donate rice and incense to the boat. At the end of the ritual, villagers carry the colorful boats to the Ganjiang River and burn them, symbolizing sending the plague god away with the river water. This custom is completely inherited only in traditional villages around Ji’an, with few records and reports from the outside world, making it a very niche living cultural heritage among Jiangxi folk customs.
