Different from well-known New Year customs such as dragon and lion dances and temple fairs, it is a collective ritual with both river god worship and evil-exorcising blessing functions, with a history of nearly a thousand years. In the first half of the first lunar month, each village forms its own boat team, weaves colorful boats of various shapes with bamboo strips, and young villagers carry them to parade around the village, singing simple blessing chants in unison along the way. This is to invite the blessing of the Ganjiang River God, expel plague and evil spirits in the village, and pray for river safety, abundant harvests and village peace in the new year.<br \/>\n\u558a\u8239\u4eea\u5f0f\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u5728\u4e8e \u201c\u558a\u201d\uff0c\u5531\u8154\u7c97\u72b7\u9ad8\u4ea2\uff0c\u7531\u4e00\u540d\u7ecf\u9a8c\u4e30\u5bcc\u7684\u8239\u5de5\u9886\u5531\uff0c\u4f17\u4eba\u9f50\u58f0\u9644\u548c\uff0c\u6b4c\u8bcd\u591a\u4e3a\u5730\u65b9\u65b9\u8a00\u7684\u7948\u798f\u795d\u8bed\uff0c\u6ca1\u6709\u56fa\u5b9a\u6587\u672c\uff0c\u591a\u4e3a\u4ee3\u4ee3\u53e3\u4f20\u3002\u5de1\u6e38\u961f\u4f0d\u6bcf\u5230\u4e00\u6237\u4eba\u5bb6\u95e8\u524d\uff0c\u4e3b\u4eba\u5bb6\u90fd\u4f1a\u71c3\u653e\u97ad\u70ae\u63a5\u5e94\uff0c\u5411\u8239\u4e2d\u65bd\u820d\u7c73\u7cae\u4e0e\u9999\u706b\u3002\u4eea\u5f0f\u7684\u6700\u540e\uff0c\u6751\u6c11\u4f1a\u5c06\u5f69\u8239\u62ac\u81f3\u8d63\u6c5f\u8fb9\u711a\u70e7\uff0c\u5bd3\u610f\u9001\u761f\u795e\u968f\u6c5f\u6c34\u8fdc\u53bb\u3002\u8fd9\u9879\u4e60\u4fd7\u4ec5\u5728\u5409\u5b89\u5468\u8fb9\u7684\u4f20\u7edf\u6751\u843d\u5b8c\u6574\u4f20\u627f\uff0c\u5916\u754c\u9c9c\u6709\u8bb0\u8f7d\u4e0e\u62a5\u9053\uff0c\u662f\u8d63\u9131\u6c11\u4fd7\u4e2d\u6781\u4e3a\u5c0f\u4f17\u7684\u6d3b\u6001\u6587\u5316\u9057\u5b58\u3002<br \/>\nThe core of the boat-calling ritual lies in &#8220;calling&#8221;, with a bold and resounding singing style. It is led by an experienced boatman and echoed by the crowd. The lyrics are mostly blessing words in local dialect, with no fixed text and mostly passed down orally from generation to generation. When the parade arrives at each household, the host will set off firecrackers to greet them and donate rice and incense to the boat. At the end of the ritual, villagers carry the colorful boats to the Ganjiang River and burn them, symbolizing sending the plague god away with the river water.
