Different from common flat or round carving crafts such as green-left bamboo carving and bamboo root carving, it uses the natural bamboo inner layer from the inner wall of moso bamboo as the core raw material. Craftsmen process moso bamboo through multiple procedures including boiling, drying, pressing and planing to extract paper-thin bamboo lining, then seamlessly glue it onto a wooden base, and finally apply carving techniques on the smooth bamboo surface. The finished product has warm ivory-like color and delicate smooth texture, combining the elegance of bamboo and the solid feel of wood.<br \/>\n\u7ffb\u7c27\u7af9\u523b\u7684\u6838\u5fc3\u6280\u827a\u96be\u70b9\u5728\u4e8e\u7af9\u7c27\u7684\u5904\u7406\u4e0e\u62fc\u63a5\uff0c\u8106\u8584\u7684\u7af9\u7c27\u6781\u6613\u5f00\u88c2\u53d8\u5f62\uff0c\u5320\u4eba\u9700\u7cbe\u51c6\u63a7\u5236\u6e29\u6e7f\u5ea6\u4e0e\u80f6\u5408\u529b\u5ea6\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u5c06\u5176\u5e73\u6574\u8d34\u5408\u5728\u65b9\u5f62\u3001\u5706\u5f62\u7b49\u4e0d\u540c\u5668\u578b\u7684\u80ce\u4f53\u4e0a\u3002\u4f20\u7edf\u9898\u6750\u591a\u4e3a\u5c71\u6c34\u3001\u82b1\u9e1f\u3001\u4e66\u6cd5\u4e0e\u620f\u66f2\u4eba\u7269\uff0c\u5200\u6cd5\u7ec6\u817b\u6d41\u7545\uff0c\u610f\u5883\u6e05\u96c5\uff0c\u4f5c\u54c1\u591a\u4e3a\u6587\u5177\u76d2\u3001\u7b14\u7b52\u3001\u53f0\u5c4f\u7b49\u6587\u623f\u5668\u7269\u3002\u7531\u4e8e\u5236\u4f5c\u5de5\u5e8f\u7e41\u590d\u3001\u5b66\u827a\u5468\u671f\u6f2b\u957f\uff0c\u4e14\u5e02\u573a\u53d7\u4f17\u6709\u9650\uff0c\u5982\u4eca\u638c\u63e1\u5b8c\u6574\u7ffb\u7c27\u7af9\u523b\u5168\u6d41\u7a0b\u6280\u827a\u7684\u4f20\u627f\u4eba\u5be5\u5be5\u65e0\u51e0\uff0c\u5c5e\u4e8e\u6fd2\u4e34\u5931\u4f20\u7684\u5c0f\u4f17\u975e\u9057\u9879\u76ee\uff0c\u4ec5\u5728\u9ec4\u5ca9\u672c\u5730\u6709\u5c11\u91cf\u521b\u4f5c\u4e0e\u4f20\u627f\uff0c\u666e\u901a\u5927\u4f17\u9c9c\u6709\u63a5\u89e6\u3002<br \/>\nThe core technical difficulty of flipped bamboo inner layer carving lies in the processing and splicing of the bamboo lining. The brittle and thin bamboo lining is extremely easy to crack and deform, and craftsmen need to precisely control temperature, humidity and gluing force to smoothly attach it to bases of different shapes such as square and round. Traditional themes mostly include landscapes, flowers, birds, calligraphy and opera characters, with delicate smooth knife work and elegant artistic conception. Most works are stationery items such as pencil cases, brush pots and table screens. Due to the complicated production procedures, long learning cycle and limited market audience, there are only a few inheritors who master the complete whole-process technique of flipped bamboo inner layer carving today.
