\nUnearthed from the tomb of King Cuo of the Zhongshan State in Pingshan, Hebei Province, this bronze winged mythical beast with silver inlay represents the pinnacle of bronze craftsmanship of the ancient Zhongshan State, and is now housed in the Hebei Museum. Measuring 40 centimeters in length, the beast rears its head and twists its neck as if roaring, with wide glaring eyes, exposed fangs, bowed limbs and sharp claws, and wings on both flanks pointing skyward in a powerful, vigorous posture. Its entire body is decorated with swirling cloud and feather patterns rendered through the silver inlay technique, with smooth, delicate lines. The contrast between the bronze base and silvery patterns makes it stand out among all Warring States bronze artifacts.
\n\u53cc\u7ffc\u795e\u517d\u662f\u4e2d\u5c71\u56fd\u72ec\u6709\u7684\u6587\u7269\u9020\u578b\uff0c\u5176\u5f62\u8c61\u878d\u5408\u4e86\u4e2d\u539f\u745e\u517d\u4e0e\u897f\u4e9a\u683c\u91cc\u82ac\u7684\u7279\u5f81\uff0c\u662f\u6218\u56fd\u65f6\u671f\u5317\u65b9\u6e38\u7267\u6587\u5316\u4e0e\u4e2d\u539f\u519c\u8015\u6587\u660e\u78b0\u649e\u4ea4\u878d\u7684\u4ea7\u7269\u3002\u5b83\u5e76\u975e\u796d\u7940\u793c\u5668\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u53e4\u4eba\u538b\u5e2d\u89d2\u7684\u5e2d\u9547\uff0c\u5171\u51fa\u571f\u4e24\u5bf9\u56db\u4ef6\uff0c\u5668\u8179\u94f8\u6709\u94ed\u6587\u8bb0\u660e\u5236\u4f5c\u5e74\u4ee3\u4e0e\u5de5\u5320\u4fe1\u606f\uff0c\u4e3a\u7814\u7a76\u795e\u79d8\u7684\u4e2d\u5c71\u56fd\u5386\u53f2\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u73cd\u8d35\u7684\u5b9e\u7269\u4f9d\u636e\u3002
\nThe winged mythical beast is a unique cultural relic of the Zhongshan State. Its design blends features of Central Chinese auspicious beasts and the Central Asian griffin, making it a product of the collision and integration of northern nomadic culture and Central Plains agrarian civilization during the Warring States period. Not a ritual vessel, it served as a weight to hold down the corners of mats. Two pairs, four pieces in total, were excavated, with inscriptions on the abdomen recording the production date and craftsman information, providing precious physical evidence for studying the mysterious history of the Zhongshan State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
