This is a reconstructed ritual scene based on archaeological discoveries from the Hongshan Culture. It depicts people performing a religious ceremony, raising their hands toward the sky to show their respect for Heaven, nature, mountains, rivers, and spiritual beings.
距今约5500—5000年前,红山先民已经形成了较为复杂的宗教观念。牛河梁等遗址发现了祭坛、积石冢和大量玉器,说明祭祀在当时社会中具有重要地位。Around 5,500–5,000 years ago, the people of the Hongshan Culture had developed complex religious beliefs. Altars, stone burial structures, and numerous jade objects have been discovered at sites such as Niuheliang, showing that rituals played an important role in their society.
红山人的祭祀不仅是对神灵的祈求,也体现了他们对自然与生命的理解。玉器、祭坛和特殊的墓葬共同构成了一个神圣的精神世界。
Hongshan rituals were not simply prayers to supernatural beings. They reflected the people’s understanding of nature and life. Jade objects, ritual platforms, and special burials together reveal a sacred spiritual world of the Hongshan people.
